Dumpster permits in the City of Murfreesboro
On a private driveway or lot, no permit. In a City street or any other public right-of-way, City Code § 28-11 requires a permit from the City Engineer before anything obstructs it, with MUTCD warning devices day and night. The published right-of-way permit is $50 per street under § 28-103, doubled if work starts first, applied for through the City’s project portal; the Right-of-Way Coordinator at 111 West Vine Street is on 615-893-6441 ext. 1626, and work dates are due by the Thursday before the job. Outside the city, none of the towns we serve publishes a dumpster permit, but each has its own right-of-way ordinance and someone to call, which is why every town page states exactly what it found. Christiana, Rockvale and Lascassas are unincorporated and fall under Rutherford County. Where a place publishes nothing, we say so and keep the container on private property.
